White line drawing on acetate

We visited Swaffham Community Centre on a very snowy and icy day just before Christmas.  The planned trip to the forest had to be cancelled because of the weather, so we visited the local churchyard instead. Here the pupils were able to make connections between the PNG objects they had looked at in the morning and the carvings and inscriptions on gravestones - related patterns could be observed, and there was some discussion about ancestry.  Art activities included white line drawing on acetate to create patterned interpretations of objects from the Sainsbury Collection, and making supporting structures for eggs.
