Translucent temporary structures

'We are bound by the ocean; the same water kisses our shores.'

Visiting artists and Maori spiritual leaders, George Nuku and Rosanna Raymond created translucent temporary structures containing poetry, carving, installations, jewels and adornments using the natural resources of the beach and the crafts of the area. The Brick Works with its beautiful views of the shoreline provided a setting for profound questions about climate change, ownership and access to the sea.
