The Coast Choir

Songs of Land, Sea and Sky

The Global Coast project continues around the Norfolk coast working with communities from Weybourne to Sea Palling. We are looking at the heritage and artistic potential of the area, exploring the ways art can help people respond to changes in their environment.

Singers Sian Croose and Jonathan Baker of The Voice Project invite you to join their community choir to draw together memories and sounds to create a choral work to be performed at various locations.

You don’t have to have any previous experience of singing in a choir. During the first part of the project you will learn a range of music - from uplifting party songs from the USA to beautifully harmonised contemporary songs from the UK, all on the theme of land, sea and sky.

In the second part of the project you will create and learn inspiring new material written for the group. Everything is learnt by ear so you don’t have to read music to take part.
