Carving landscapes (4/5)
In this session the group described their raised plaster landscapes to each other. There was an interesting range of locations ranging from the Norfolk/Cambridgeshire Fens to Acle Straight. Visually descriptive vocabulary evoked recognition from the group and also the techniques and processes experienced were described with growing confidence. This confidence led to the group using the art soap and carving landscapes into it. Mother and daughter Irene and Debbie carved beautiful and thoughtful pieces of Belaugh on the River Bure and trees in Blickling Great Wood.
